Improving Health Literacy


As many as half of the Australian population is estimated to lack health literacy. That is a persons ability to obtain, process, and understand basic health information.

This 4 hour workshop covers the basics of obtaining and using health information.

We cover

  1. How to distinguish health information from marketing information.
  2. Who can I trust?  Finding legitimate information.
  3. How does it apply to me?
  4. and many other issues.

At the end of the workshop you will be able to research issues  concerning your own or another persons health.  Translate ‘medical jargon’  and identify safe sources for information.

The outcome of this seminar is to take back control of your health and wellbeing.
